There is so much to be thankful for this Advent and Christmas season. Southern Sudan Misison was able to help facilitate 2 medical shipments to the diocese in Aweil this year through Giving Children Hope and St. Matthew=s Church. One of our board members visited the diocese and held several mobile clinics in remote locations and assisted in medical assessments and treatment of villagers. We raised funds to provide some hygiene education to women in the diocese and have most recently raised funds to purchase a manually operated brick making machine manufactured in South Africa. We are now working on the logistics of having it delivered! It will be used to make bricks to start building needed facilities in Aweil.
In 2012 our focus will be on women=s needs and working with the Aweil Christian Women=s Association. They have requested assistance in agricultural needs and adult education.
We have made wonderful new connections this year with people who have a heart for helping South Sudan and are thankful for people whose paths cross ours.
Our heartfelt thanks to those who have faith in us and helped along the way this year!
God‘s blessings in 2012

Going there, seeing the patients, and listening to their stories,... READ MORE
